Dartington, population 2300, is located near Totnes, Devon, England. Not so much a single village but rather a group of hamlets and modern developments clustered around Dartington Hall. The Hall has been the home since 1925 of a diverse and ambitious experiment in rural regeneration involving education, the arts, business and crafts, and the cultural atmosphere is evident elsewhere in the village.
