Blandford Forum is the largest town in the former district of  North Dorset
located to the north of River Stour.
Blandford St Mary is a village on the south bank, and Blandford St Mary is a separate parish than
Blandford Forum, stretching south east to  Charlton Marshall, Winterborne Clenstone to
the south west and  Winterborne Stickland to the west.
The small parish of Bryanston, west of the River Stour, is represented by the  Durweston category.
East of the town, on the north bank of the Stour is Langton Long Blandford, after which is named
the parish stretching north to include Blandford Camp, before Tarrant Monkton and
Tarrant Launceston, and the lower Tarrant Vale represented by  Tarrant Keyneston to the north east.
  Pimperne and  Stourpaine are directly north of the town.
