Ramsbury is a village and parish administered by Wiltshire Council, 4 miles east of  Marlborough, on the north bank of the River Kennet.
Chilton Foliat parish is directly east on the north bank, before the unitary authority boundary with West Berkshire at  Hungerford.
A bridge connects Ramsbury village with the parish of  Froxfield south of the River Kennet, and along the north bank to the west is the linear settlement of Axford.
