Beaver Harbour is situated in Charlotte County on the Bay of Fundy, on Route 778, between Blacks Harbour and Pennfield.
In earlier times it was also known as Penn's Field Colony, Pennfield Colony and Bellevu (or Belleview). It was founded by Quaker Loyalists from Pennsylvania under Joshua Knight on 18 September 1783.
