Born Charles Buchinski on November 3, 1921 in Ehrenfeld, Pennsylvania, USA. He was an actor frequently playing roles of sympathetic tough guys. Known in Italy as "IL Brutto." He starred in westerns (The Magnificent Seven), war dramas (The Dirty Dozen and The Great Escape) and cop thrillers (The Stone Killer) before finding his signature role as vigilante Paul Kersey in the "Death Wish" film series. Charles Bronson died August 30, 2003, in Los Angeles, California, USA.
