Cricklade is a town and Wiltshire Council parish, north west of the Swindon AU's villages of  Blunsdon St Andrew
and Broad Blunsdon, from where the A419 road bypasses the north of the town on the way to  Cirencester.
Cricklade can be considered the first town on the  River Thames, which flows from
Cotswold Water Park in  Ashton Keynes, north of the town westwards through Latton parish,
then the Swindon unitary authority parish of  Castle Eaton.
