Durrington is the village next village north of  Amesbury east of the A345 road.
Durrington parish includes  Larkhill to the west of the A345, the conurbation associated with the army barracks.
South of these villages, remains of Woodhenge and Durrington Walls represent a Neolithic palisaded enclosure,
second-largest known to  Hindwell in Wales.
East of Durrington, the A3028 takes road traffic across Bulford bridge over the River Avon into Bulford parish
with its own Bulford Camp, north west of  Cholderton.
The parish of Milston to the north east is also dominated by army training areas, and these areas are represented by
this category, whereas the next parish along the A345 to the north, Figheldean, is represented by  Netheravon.
