North Wraxall is the Wiltshire parish on the A420 road from  Chippenham before crossing
the unitary authority boundary with South Gloucestershire at Marshfield.
North Wraxall is a village just north of the A420, and Upper Wraxall is the
last hamlet before the boundary, with The Shoe on the A420 before that.
Mountain Bower is on the north west boundary with  Nettleton.
Ford in on the A420 at the eastern boundary with  Castle Combe to the north east,
and  Biddestone to the south east.
Colerne is the parish on the western boundary with Marshfield to the south.
Note: South Wraxall is a separate parish, which with the hamlet of Lower Wraxall is represented by  Monkton Farleigh.
Besides Wiltshire, the name Wraxall is shared with parishes in Dorset and Somerset, having derived from the Saxon: "nook of land frequented by the buzzard or other bird of prey".[ https://bafhs.org.uk/wraxall/?v=79cba1185463 ]
