Westwood is the Wiltshire parish on the boundary with Somerset, at Freshford and  Hinton Charterhouse.
The northern boundary is the River Avon with  Winsley and  Bradford-on-Avon is directly east.
The northern boundary, known as Avoncliff, features an aqueduct where the Kennet and Avon Canal
crosses over the river and railway on the north bank at Avoncliff station.
The confluence of the River Frome with the Avon is beyond the north west boundary, but
the Frome forms the west boundary at Ifford west of Westwood village.
The southern boundary is with the Wiltshire parish of Wingfield, which has a small village, served by the
A366 road, from  Trowbridge directly east, westwards over the River Frome at Farleigh Hungerford.
North Bradley parish is directly south east, represented by  Southwick,
the parish on the county boundary directly south.
