Addison is a town located in Addison County, Vermont. It was chartered on October 14, 1761 by Benning Wentworth who at that time was the governor of New Hampshire. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,393. Located in the western part of the county, Addison is bounded on the north by Panton; east by Waltham and Weybridge; south by Bridport, and west by Lake Champlain.
