He rose to stardom and continued his musical career after The Beatles breakup in 1970. George was successful as a solo artist, writer, composer, movie producer, and introduced concert fund raising with the Concert For Bangladesh in 1971. He is a founding member of The Traveling Wilbury's. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Beatles in 1988, and as a solo performer in 2004. George Harrison died on November 29, 2001 after a long battle with cancer.
