Belle & Sebastian are an acoustic seven piece band from Glasgow. None of them are called Belle or Sebastian. Until recently they refused to appear in publicity photos and their records charted with little or no hype. The loyal fan base that made this possible also made them top of a poll for Best Newcomer at the 1999 Brit Awards in London, beating off competition from several multi-million pound "manufactured" bands including Steps.

The Bluetones are a who started out in the 1990s in Hounslow, London, England. The Bluetones are Mark Morriss (vocals), his brother Scott (bass/vocals), Adam Devlin (guitar) and Eds Chesters (drums). Richard Payne (keyboards) was added as an official member during the recording of the third album but left prior to the release of the fourth album.
