Judy Garland was born as France Ethel Gumm in 1922 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. She made her film debute in uncredited movie "The Big Revue" (1929). Judy was a famous child star in 1930s, winning popularity with films like "Pigskin Parade" (1936, Sairy Dodd), and "The Wizard of Oz" (1939, Dorothy Gale). 1940s offered her several memorable roles like Betsy Booth in "Life Begins for Andy Hardy" (1941), Jo Hayden in "For Me and My Gal" (1942), Ester Smith in "Meet Me in St. Louis" (1944), Manuela in "The Pirates" (1948), and Hannah Brown in "Easter Parade" (1948).
