Pushing Daisies

American dramedy -- called a "forensic fairy tale" by creator Bryan Fuller -- that first aired in October 2007 on ABC. It recounts the story of Ned, a pie maker who can bring the dead back to life by touching them, with two caveats: a second touch means permanent death, and reviving someone for too long means someone nearby will die. With the help of a private investigator, Ned uses this ability to solve murder cases for reward money, but the scheme is complicated when one of the victims he revives is his childhood sweetheart.

Fox canceled the 2004 series after four episodes; all 13 were later released on DVD.
