Establish a web-based email address you can access anywhere, anytime using your favorite browser. Most services are advertisement supported and require at times an extensive disclosure of personal information. Keep in mind that your primary choice in usernames will probably be taken on the more popular email services such as Hotmail and Yahoo Mail. To avoid having to use obscure usernames, you may have to register with a smaller or newer email service such as PopMail or Postmark.

There are many types of anonymous mail software. There are anonymous mailers that are designed to be secure against determined attacks, such as the Mixmaster network. There are also anonymous mail systems which are really for fun. These provide weak security guarantees but are often easier to use and more reliable. All these will be found here. Anonymous communication is a two-edged sword. It benefits society by allowing whistleblowers to speak up freely, and by assisting those whose free speech rights are being infringed. It can also be used to conceal the origin of unethical activities such as spam and computer break-ins. Sites which promote these types of activities are not listed here.

E-greetings

DESCRIPTION - Sites that will send "virtual greeting cards" or "E-Cards". This normally includes an email that will direct the recipient to a customized web page on their site that will have a message from you, along with a picture, sometimes with animation or music.
