Sites which have to do with spam, anti-spam software and tactics, spam laws, and blacklists.
Please do not submit "Spam Bait" sites which contain email addresses for email harvesters.
This category contains sites that maintain spam blacklists. Some of these blacklists are services that can be used to filter e-mail, and other blacklists are simply lists of spam-friendly ISP's and companies. Blacklists are distinct from spam filters; blacklists provide information about known spammers, but do not by themselves prevent spam from being received. Filters are programs that prevent a user from seeing spam (possibly by using a blacklist.)
Software to permit a server to filter spam should be submitted to Computers/Software/Internet/Servers/Mail/Spam_Filtering/.

Other sites related to filtering spam (such as software to permit a mail client to filter spam, or web services that offer spam filtering) should be submitted to the appropriate category at Computers/Internet/Abuse/.

This category is for services that block spam e-mail. These services are generally web-based, and may or may not be customizable.
This category is for filtering services only. Please submit sites that have mail client spam filters to Computers/Software/Internet/Clients/Mail/Windows/Tools/Spam_Filtering (or, if your filter is for a UNIX mail client, under the Computers/Software/Internet/Clients/Mail/UNIX hierarchy as appropriate). Mail server spam filters should go to Computers/Software/Internet/Servers/Mail/Spam_Filtering/

Sites that offer spam tracking services belong in Tracking/. Sites that offer tips on preventing spam (in some way that does not involve filtering e-mail) belong in Preventing. General spam sites belong in the parent category.
