Originally released in 1990, the Civilization series is the most highly sold grouping of strategy games ever (over 4 million copies). Civilization II (released in 1996) quickly became one of the most highly sold strategy games ever. Newer titles include Civilization : Call to Power and Call to Power II by Activision [under license from Microprose] and Civilization III [by Firaxis]. Only submit sites that are providing information/material related to several titles in the Civ series should be submitted to the main Civilization Series category. Only sites with English content should be submitted here. All other sites belong in the appropriate language specific category under the World category. Check the guidelines for information about how to describe your site as that will speed up the listing process. Also note that it''s recommended that you submit the URL of your main page (e.g. http://www.blah-blah.com) and URLs that redirect or cloak the actual URL should not be submitted. Instead submit the destination URL of the redirection or the actual URL being cloaked.
The Call to Power series from Activision includes two titles: Civilization - Call to Power and Call to Power II. Call to Power was made under license from Microprose as that allowed the use of the name "Civilization" in the title. However Call to Power II couldn't use it because of the legal conflict between Microprose and Firaxis. Call to Power was released April 1999 and CtP2 in December 2000.
Only submit sites that are providing CtP and CtP2 related information. Sites that have material for only one of the titles should be submitted in the apropriate subcategory. Also note that it''s recommended that you submit the URL of your main page (e.g. http://www.blah-blah.com) and URLs that redirect or cloak the actual URL should not be submitted. Instead submit the destination URL of the redirection or the actual URL being cloaked.
Civilization II is developed by Sid Meier and Brian Reynolds, and it was published by Microprose in 1996. This title has had several additional expansion sets and it's still a very popular empire building game for Windows.
Only submit sites that are providing Civ II related information. Sites that have material for a specific expansion add-on should be submitted in the apropriate subcategory. Also note that it''s recommended that you submit the URL of your main page (e.g. http://www.blah-blah.com) and URLs that redirect or cloak the actual URL should not be submitted. Instead submit the destination URL of the redirection or the actual URL being cloaked.
