Morning Sickness

Morning sickness, also known as nausea and vomiting of pregnancy (NVP) is a common condition. It usually occurs between the 4th and the 12th week of pregnancy. It is believed that between 50 and 80% of pregnant women suffer from this condition. A more severe form of NVP is called Hyperemesis Gravidarum and affects between 1% to 3% of all women during pregnancy.

Postpartum illness can affect up to 8 out of 10 new mothers, to varying degrees of severity. Postpartum Depression is thought to be triggered by the rapid change in hormone levels experienced after labor, as well as extreme exhaustion.

Pre-conception refers to the time during which one is trying to conceive.
