This category is about the collecting of sports related items. Included in this category is information about the acquisition, display, identification, and conservation of these collections.

Acceptable sites should contain original content pertaining to the acquisition, display, identification, and conservation of "Sports" items that would be useful or of interest to collectors of the item. For quick review please search through the subcategories to find the correct placement of your site.

All sites, which offer products and collectibles for sale on line and off line, should be submitted to Shopping: Sports: Memorabilia. Commercial sites will not be accepted in this category.

Auto Racing

This category contains personal collections and information on collecting racing memorabilia.

Please submit only sites dealing with collecting racing memorabilia in this category.

Sites selling racing memorabilia, collectibles and related products should be listed under Shopping, either in Shopping: Sports: Auto_Racing: Fan_Merchandise (photos, autographs, clothing) or Shopping: Antiques_and_Collectibles: Toys_and_Games: Cars_and_Trucks: Diecast:Racing_and_NASCAR (diecast cars and transporters).

Baseball

Please do not submit sites primarily focusing on buying, selling, or trading baseball cards, equipment, autographs, or other memorabilia to this category. Those sites should be submitted to Shopping: Sports: Baseball: Collectibles.

Cards

For sites focused on the collection of Sports Cards, also known as trading cards with a sports-related subject.

Fishing

This category is designed for sites which relate to the collecting of fishing related items.

Please submit sites which relate to the collecting of fishing tackle, ie lures, rods, reels etc.

Please do not submit sites which sell fishing equipment to this category. Those sites belong in Shopping: Sports: Fishing and should be submitted to that category. All inappropriate submissions will be deleted.

Hockey

This category is for sites about collecting hockey memorabilia, including figurines, cereal boxes, oddballs, food issues, jerseys, products, SLUs, autographs, sticks, regional cards (MacDonalds' Canadian, for example), all kinds of things belong in this category, as long as they're hockey-oriented.

The exception is that sites about collecting major brand hockey cards are in Recreation/Collecting/Sports/Cards/Hockey

Sites which sell merchandise are found in Shopping/Sports/Memorabilia/ alongside those selling memorabilia for other sports. Sales sites for hockey cards are in Shopping/Sports/Memorabilia/
