City in Union County. Population was 822 in the 2000 census. The town was originally called Jesse in the 1880's. After the post office was established in 1891 the town was then renamed in honor of Nauphlet Goodwin.
North Little Rock is located on the north bank of the Arkansas River in the center of the state of Arkansas, it is served by five interstate highways: I-30, I-40, I-430, and I-440; and Highways 67/167 and 65.
