This category links organizations which themselves do not conduct scientific research, but aim to spread information about research results in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology. These associations organize meetings, provide research grants and other activities for scientists in the field. Any scientist active in the field should be able to become member of such an organization.
Do not submit sites to the top of this category. Instead please try to find the most appropriate discipline, and submit there, even if there is not yet an Associations subcategory.
Regional organization should be regarded as a last resort, and listing sub-categories Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, South America may prevent the Associations sub-category being created in the most appropriate science discipline.
Do not submit sites in languages other than English (these sites should be sent to the appropriate section of the World hierarchy)
This category classifies sites according to the molecules of primary interest. These molecules differ from Organic Chemicals in that they were discovered from their synthesis within living cells. Originally these would be extracted from plants or animals. Many biomolecules can now be produced synthetically from simple chemicals; sugars, amino acids, steroids or drugs that mimic their effects.
Sites without scientific content, but intended to promote reagents should be submitted to Reagents and Kits,
those promoting sales of Biochemicals should be submitted to Chemicals: Biochemical.
Submit sites here only if they focus on components of blood, urine or other body extracts, such as measurement of enzyme activities related to health or pharmacological status, using chemical or bioanalytical techniques.
If the tests are for a broader range of analytes, please consider Bioanalytical Chemistry instead.

If a Products_and_Services category does not exist for the biological topic on which the sites'' reagents and kits focus, then submit here.
If the site includes equipment then submit to the parent category.
If the site only includes antibodies, immunoassay reagents or kits, then submit to the Immunology subcategory.
Please choose the most appropriate category only; duplicate submissions in the Biology section of ODP will be deleted.
Please do not submit software applications that are for use by the general public.
