Retailers of a variety of items that cannot be categorized in any single topical area in shopping are listed here.

All sites are listed in the Alphabar by the first letter of the store's title, excluding articles (a, an, the).

Sites that sell a single product line, such as tableware, or teddy bears, are listed under an appropriate topical category.

Before submitting to this category make sure there is not another category that is more suited to your products. By incorrectly submitting here it may delay the possibility of being reviewed by A YEAR OR MORE because a huge number of sites are inappropriately submitted here which results requires an editor to eventually move it to the correct category.

This category is for sites which sell a variety of items that cannot be categorized in any other topical area in shopping. Sites that sell a single product line, such as candles, tableware, or teddy bears, should be listed under an appropriate topical category. If there are a variety of items but the majority of products are, for instance, widgets--please submit to the widget category using the root url. Submitting here should be a last resort--usually because the product span is wide.

MOST IMPORTANT:
Affiliate link sites, affiliate template sites and representatives of multi level marketing, such as SMC (Specialty Merchandise Corporation)/World of Products, will not be listed. Please see the ODP Guidelines on this subject. To be listed a site must offer unique content.

Major Retailers

Shopping/Retailers contains sites for only major retailers offering online shopping. Examples are department stores with a national or international presence, major discount chains, national or international stores and catalog companies offering a variety of merchandise, and major online retailers that are in essence a department store.

Submissions to this category that don''t fit the following guidelines will be deleted.
Sites selling adult products or containing links to adult sites will be deleted without further review.

Very few sites will qualify for a listing in Shopping/Retailers. Only listings for department stores with a national or international presence, major discount chains, national or international stores and catalog companies offering a variety of merchandise, and major online retailers will be accepted.

By submitting other sites to this category, you will only delay their placement in the directory; you should find the most appropriate category in Shopping instead. For example, if the business primarily sells jewelry and is not a national chain, the listing should be submitted to Shopping/Jewelry or its sub-categories.

Novelties

This category contains sites that meet the guidelines of a Shopping site and primarily market novelty items.

Before submitting the listing, please first review the Shopping Guidelines and the Shopping FAQ, since these pages pertain to all listings in Shopping.

Please do a simple search of the Shopping branch to see if the product(s) belong in a more appropriate category.
