Society/People/Missing_People/Personals is for non-commercial sites relating primarily to the search for a specific individual or group of individuals (such as a specific class reunion). This is not a category for sites aiming to help people generally to find missing persons, lost friends or relations (see Society: People: Missing People for non-commercial sites, or Society: People: Missing People: Locator Services for commercial fee-based sites).
Chandra Levy disappeared in Washington, D.C., USA, during February 2001. Due to communication errors, the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia failed to search areas they had previously identified, and Chandra's skeletal remains were found in May 2002. There had been a focus on Congressman Gary Condit, who was married and suspected of having an affair with Levy.

After the bones were found in 2002, prime suspect Ingmar Guandique, an illegal alien from El Salvador, who had confessed to the killing early in the investigation, was again investigated. He was placed on trial and found guilty, but then given a new trial in 2016. In 2017, he was deported to El Salvador; thus the trial remains unsolved.
