Black Gospel

If a band or artist specific category exists in Arts/Music/Bands_and_Artists or in one of the sub-categories of Arts/Music/Styles, please submit your site to that specific category. Otherwise, please submit it to the appropriate letter category of the alphabet bar. Sites will be listed with the band or artist''s name as the site title. Individuals will be listed "Surname, First Name". Bands with an article will be listed as "Band, The".

Celtic

Christian music and dance done in the Celtic tradition of fiddles and other stringed instruments, taking it's heritage from the traditional music of Scotland and Ireland. This can include the more traditional style of Celtic music as well as contemporary Celtic musical styles. It can also include Americana hill music, traditional and contemporary, which derives it's musical foundations from it's Celtic heritage.

All Christian bands that fall into the above description with quality web sites will be considered.

Hip Hop

This section is devoted to compiling useful links for users trying to find hip-hop that promotes the gospel of Jesus Christ and sites related to the gospel in hip-hop culture as well. Gospel Hip-Hop (a.k.a. Christian HipHop) is not a separate form of music from Hip-Hop it is just a label put on this type of music that is not necessarily welcomed by those involved with hip-hop that promotes the gospel of Jesus Christ. Hip-Hop is music and music was created by God... those doing hip-hop that promotes the gospel of Jesus Christ are using the music for what it was created for in the beginning... to Glorify God... the creator of all things.

Because of the number of very small labels which appear, and disappear, overnight, businesses listed here are selected because they represent multiple artists, conduct business in a particular city, and distribute their CDs in stores as well as from their web site.

Note: Independent Rap labels may be accepted on a case by case basis. Example label has pid hosting and a top domain or free hosting and a sub domain. It is up to the editors best judgement and the quality of the website. Their are some quality independent labels with free hosting.

Sites created to inform, entertain or provide resources specific to a Christian band or artist who specializes in the rock style of music.

Both official and fan sites are included for review and should be clear in the description as to which it is.

It is important to submit to the proper category for the genre and style of music the band or artists primarily produce. Submitting to the incorrect category or multiple categories could result in the site being rejected or delayed for insertion into the directory.

Ska

This category is designated for ska music. A happy style of rock music that includes trumpets, trombones, saxaphones, and other wind instruments.

Resources for the southern gospel music industry including publications, associations and others of a more general nature.

Spirituals

Spirituals, traditionally called "Negro Spirituals" and occasionally in the U.S., "African-American Spirituals," were the traditional religious folk songs of the slaves. They were recreated as choral concert pieces around the turn of the century by the Fisk Singers, and have become firmly established in both hymnals and the concert repertoire.

Vocal

In the Vocal hierarchy please submit sites related to sounds for or produced by the voice: the vocal organs, i.e. the tongue, lips, etc. =This includes (but is not retricted to) whistling and singing. Sites related to groups of singers (eg. choirs) should, however, be submitted to the Choral hierarchy.
