The band "Daniel Amos" is named for the two books of the Bible; it is not a person's name. The Orange County, California band has also released several albums under the pseudonym "The Swirling Eddies" and (during the 1980's) under the shortened name "DA". Frontman Terry Scott Taylor has worked solo and with side projects "The Lost Dogs" and "The Farm Beetles".
Dead Artist Syndrome consists of singer/songwriter Brian Healy and other side men. Healy was dubbed the "father of Christian Goth" by Rozz Williams, and is an ordained minister. After several years of inactivity in the late 90s due to Healy's health issues, the band is active again, having released two albums so far in the 2000s.
