Evangelical

Organizations that basically believe the same things as the denominations which have historically been considered evangelical Protestant, but are not associated with any one denomination.

Family

Nondenominational and interdenominational Christian organizations and associations whose primary focus is the family.

Ministries

This category is intended for established ministries that are not specific enough to be submitted to any Ministry sub-categories.
Requirements for inclusion in "Ministries":

  • 1. Web site MUST include a description of tangible services that are offered. (i.e. guest speaker, counseling, food pantries.)
  • 2. Services must be tangible and available in the "real world." Ministries offering services that are ONLY offered online, such as devotionals, writings and articles should submit to Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Christianity/Christian_Living/Online_Ministries rather than "Ministries."
  • 3. Ministries must be an organized, recognized entity. Individuals who are hoping to start a "ministry" by offering to be a guest speaker or by sharing their testimony online should submit to Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Christianity/Evangelism/Personal_Pages
  • 4. Ministries that are a service of a Church or Congregation and do not have their own UNIQUE URL should be submitted to the proper denominational or regional "Church" category.

Regional

This sub-category of the Christian organizations that work either for or from a particular area of the world. Please do not submit sites to this category. Please submit them to the appropriate subcategory.
This category is for Christian organizations that are not specific enough to be submitted to an appropriate topical category. This category is mostly just a set of pointers to the appropriate country categories. Please do not submit sites here.

Renewal Movements

This category is the umbrella category for all organizations that have their roots (however distant)in the Cursillo (kur-SEE-yo) movement of the Roman Catholic Church. Cursillo began on the island of Mallorca, Spain. The cursillo of January 7, 1949 is usually considered to be the first actual cursillo. Cursillo de Christianidad is the full name of cursillo and means a "short course" in Christianity. All cursillo derived organization's purpose is to equip and inspire Christian lay leaders to be servant leaders in their churches and to evangelize their environments (such as work, home, and community). Rescue

Rescue missions provide emergency food and shelter, youth and family services, rehabilitation programs for the addicted, education and job training programs and assistance to the needy.

Student

Christian fellowships, Bible studies, and other organizations whose membership is comprised primarily of students.

Youth

Please only offer sites here for the Boys'' Brgade which have worldwide significance. A site relating to a particular country should be offered to that country.
