Please submit sites to the proper type of motorsport vehicle category, such as Auto Racing, as appropriate.

For a site to qualify for submission at this level, it must cover multiple assets of motorsports, above and beyond auto racing. For example, a site that covers Formula One, NASCAR and CART/IRL should be submitted to the proper Sports: Motorsports: Auto Racing subcategory.

Another example, if a site covers both Auto Racing AND Motorcycle Racing, then it would be considered for this ''Motorsports'' level.

Please do NOT submit Shopping sites (online, phone or fax ordering for sales, service, parts and accessories) to any of the categories listed within.

Auto Racing

Any site related to the sport of Auto Racing. This includes events, drivers, teams and racing facilities.

No sites can be submitted at this level. Please choose the appropriate subcategory that best describes the primary focus of your website.

Bar Stool Racing

Some believe this sport was created when a man, dealing with a mid-life crisis, decided to try something new. Bar stool racing involves an actual bar stool incorporated into a kart-type vehicle. One rider has achieved a world record of 45 miles per hour with his vehicle.

Groups), and related sites focused on providing fans the opportunity to ask questions, get answers or just to talk to other motorsport fans.

Please include the following in a site submission:

Title = Name of Forum Description = Include site content features like, "Includes discussion of motorsports including auto racing, kart racing, and snowmobile racing. Offers online, individual and diget email options."

Please do NOT include hype or heavy marketing. Please do NOT write description in 1st person (avoid using "we", "our"). Please do INCLUDE site content details and features. Drivers

Includes links (but more importantly subcategories) offering sites for motorsport drivers and teams. It is recognized that many drivers/teams use the wording "[Team Name] Motorsports". However, if you only compete in various auto/truck racing (aka, 4-wheel racing), then please re-direct submission to the Auto Racing Drivers or Auto Racing Team categories.

For entry into this category, the driver/team MUST compete in multiple motorsports outside of a single category.

For example, any type of auto racing (sprints, Formula One, NASCAR, and drag racing) would still go in the Auto Racing subcategory.

However, if your team competes in snowmobile racing, motorcycle racing and auto racing, then entry and submission at this level is appropriate.

Events

Includes links to sites (and @linked subcategories) related to specific motorsport events. The intention of this category is to offer a common category to link all the 'Events' categories for specific motorsport types.

Please limit your submissions directly to this category.

To qualify, the site (event) must encompass events that offer more than one type of motorsport. Otherwise, please submit sites to the appropriate type of motorsport, regardless if it has its own ''Events'' category.

History

Includes links related to motorsports history. Sites may include but not limited to:

Sites focused on statistics or listing of past championships

Karting

Karting could be considered the best kept secret in Motor Sports. However recently it has shown tremendous growth. Equipment costs are reasonable, and the sport itself is family oriented.

Karters race on dirt oval, asphalt oval, or road course tracks. The drivers range from the ages of 5 years old and up. These links offer explanations, advice, and discussion.

Please submit only sites dealing with Karting. Sites primarily selling Karts, parts and related products should submit their sites under Shopping/Sports/Motorsports/Karting.

Please submit indoor entertainment facilities to Regional localities. This category is for competition karting only.

Motorcycle Racing

No sites can be submitted at this level. Please choose the appropriate subcategory that best describes the primary focus of your website.

Sites submitted to this category should *only* relate to off-road motorcycle competition - that is, racing.

Please note: prior to submitting your site here, take a moment to ensure that there is not a more specific sub-category relating to your site.

Non-competitive or recreational motorcycle sites should be submitted to the appropriate element of Recreation, and sites selling off-road parts and accessories should be directed to the appropriate Shopping, or Business category of the Directory.

News and Media

Includes links to news and media coverage of all motorsports (that is to say), the site covers more than one type of motorsport. Sites (and subcategories) may include but not limited to:

Sites that are typically included provide coverage of all motorsports for a particular country drivers, athletes, and teams covering Formula One to motorcycling racing to drag racing and karting and everything in between.
