Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers repeated the format of the popular DuckTales, in that it paired classic Disney characters (Chip and Dale) with new friends (Gadget, Monterey Jack and others) in a new situation (going on adventures and solving mysteries. Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers premiered in 1988 and became part of "The Disney Afternoon."
