John Brumwall Mayall was born in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England November 29,1933.
For the most part, Mayall performed with The Bluesbreakers between the 1960s and 2008, with a smaller amount of performing until his death at home in California on July 22, 2024 at age 90. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the musical influence category in 2024.
