Henry Thomas - American actor, born 8 September 1971, San Antonio, Texas. He is best known for his role as Elliot, the young boy who befriends the alien in Steven Spielberg's 1982 blockbuster E.T. the Extra-terrestial. Recent roles include 'Gangs of New York' (2002), and 'I Capture the Castle' (2003).
