Small round malignant cells that grow rapidly and spread throughout the body. Almost all cases of small cell lung cancer is caused by smoking. Also known as Oat Cell cancer.
There are three types of lung cancer: Small Cell (Oat Cell), mixed small cell/large cell carcinoma, and combined small cell carcinoma.
