Toyota first produced the Corolla in 1968 in Japan, and the first models were shipped to the USA later that year. Up until 1984, all Corollas were rear wheel drive. After 1987, all Corollas were front wheel drive. The Corolla is still manufactured today.
The Corolla was also known as the "Levin", "Sprinter", "Trueno" or "Mango".
