- Chacewater is a village and parish east of Redruth.
- The A30 main road forms the north west parish boundary, with Scorrier village on the north east tip,
- before St Day parish separating of Chacewater from Redruth.
- Blackwater is across the A30 to the north west, in St Agnes parish.
- Kenwyn parish, with which Chacewater shares an electoral ward, is to the north east, before St Allen parish along the A30.
- Threemilestone is a village in Kenwyn parish, on the A390 road to Truro further east.
- South of Threemilestone, Baldhu is a village in Kea parish.
- Carnon River rises north of Chacewater around the hamlet of Carnhot, and flows south through the village down the valley to Twelveheads,
- a hamlet east of St Day, then turns south east to the sea, entering Carrick Roads at Restronguet Passage.
