Train 48 is a half-hour series that airs Monday to Friday. It blends news and current affairs, soap opera and audience interaction with the unfolding drama (and comedy!) of train travellers as they commute home from work (in Toronto).
Each episode is scripted, shot, edited and broadcast in the same day. Interestingly, the actors improvise most of the dialogue.
