Unorganized township located 17 miles east of Dover-Foxcroft and five miles from Derby. First called Boyd's Plantation in honor of General Boyd. Changed to Milton in 1832, to Almond in 1841, and then to Orneville in honor of Judge Henry Orne. Also known as Southeast Piscataquis.
