Kids and Teens Entertainment
Entertainment includes sites about bands and artists, celebrities, movies, comics, cartoons, and radio and television programs which would be of interest to children or teens.
Please read the following carefully before suggesting a site to any Kids_and_Teens category, and note that no site is guaranteed placement or review.

Kids_and_Teens is for audiences 18 and under. Please note that this directory is for kids and not about kids.

  • If any portion of your site contains profanity, obscenities, and/or sexually-explicit content, do not submit it to Kids and Teens. Submission could result a permanent ban from the whole directory.

  • Sites intended for a general audience may be accepted in Kids_and_Teens provided they are appropriate for individuals ages 18 and under.

  • Sites containing chat rooms, discussion forums, or any other interactive content will be listed only if the interactive content complies with Kids and Teens guidelines.

  • Sites must not be under construction, submitted to multiple or inappropriate subcategories, or offer online sales. Note that commercial sites may possibly be added by editor discretion if they offer significant non-commercial content, but suggesting them here is very likely to lead to deletion without review.

    • If you believe your site complies with these guidelines, you are welcome to suggest it once to the single most appropriate category, but remember,

    failure to follow these guidelines will result in the deletion of your suggestion.

    Animation

    This category deals with animated television shows and films.
    Before submitting any sites to the Animation category, please take the time to browse through the subcategories to make sure your site is included in a category appropriate for the content of your site.

    The content of any website submitted to Kids and Teens must be suitable and of interest to young people (under the age of 18).

    We do not list the following types of websites in Kids and Teens:

    • Sites which provide adult oriented content.
    • Commercial websites (e.g. online stores).
    • Websites made up of affiliate links.
    • Websites aimed at adults about children.
    • Websites that are under construction, or that provide little content.

    Bands and Artists

    A band is an organized group of musicians who record music as well as performing for the public in concerts. Artists are the individual musicians in bands or solo performers. This category lists websites about professional bands and artists playing popular music whose music is both widely available and of interest to kids and/or teens.
    If the subject of the website has a subcategory in this category, please submit to that subcategory.

    Do not suggest sites about bands and artists offering to play events for hire, they will not be listed here.

    The content of any website submitted to Kids and Teens must be suitable and of interest to young people under the age of 18.

    We do not list the following types of websites in Kids and Teens:

    • Sites which provide adult oriented content.
    • Commercial websites (e.g. online stores).
    • Websites made up of affiliate links.
    • Websites aimed at parents about children.

    Comics

    This category lists sites about comics, including comic books, comic strips, and web-comics. The sites should be appropriate and of interest to kids.
    Websites in this category must be in English.

    Other language sites should be submitted to the appropriate International subcategory.

    Note that if your comics exist only (or primarily) on the Web (versus print media), you probably should submit to the Web subcategory.

    Magazines and E-zines

    E-zines and online versions of magazines which would be of interest to children or teens and which focus on bands and artists, celebrities, movies, comics, cartoons, radio, television, or other parts of the entertainment industry.
    Submit magazines and e-zines which are aimed at kids under fourteen. Only magazines and e-zines sites with substantial free current content should be submitted to Kids and Teens. If your magazine is not entertainment orientated, please take a look at Kids_and_Teens/News/Magazines_and_E-zines and see if your site might be better placed there or in one of the other categories listed there. We do not accept sites which advertise magazines in any of these categories or anywhere in the Kids and Teens directory. If your site aims to sell a magazine you will have to look elsewhere for a place to submit it.

    Movies

    This category is for non-animated feature films classified as suitable for children under 18 years of age.
    Please check the subcategories under Titles and submit your site there if appropriate. If your site concerns an animated movie, it belongs here instead.

    The content of any website submitted to Kids and Teens must be suitable and of interest to young people under the age of 18.

    We do not list the following types of websites in Kids and Teens:

    This category contains @links to the individual categories of entertainers in Kids_and_Teens/. Entertainers include actors, actresses, athletes, authors, bands, artists, and gymnasts.
    No public submissions are accepted at this level.

    Radio

    This category lists pages and sites about radio. It includes general information about radio broadcasting, as well as stations that cater to children and teens.
    Websites in this category must be in English.

    Other language sites should be submitted to the appropriate World subcategory.

    Television

    Sites about television that are for teens or kids.
    PLEASE do not submit "Shopping Sites" to any Kids category.

    No site is guaranteed placement in the Open Directory, any site still under construction, is submitted to multiple inappropriate categories, uses multiple URL''s for multiple submissions, that consists primarily of affiliate links to products, or is a just "cookie cutter front door" store, will be deleted.
